This book sucks! Worst than Ekta Kapoor's worst daily soaps! Don't even try wasting your precious time reading this! Not Good!

Unbelievably touching.
I didn't want the book to end at all. I enjoyed every bit of it. Haasil & Palki's love, Pallavi's upsetting love, Swadha's... Uff !
Am just too much in love with the book and the way Novoneel thinks, feels and expresses.
And one more thing, I've read this book almost 6-7 years ago.. But the goosebumps I felt when I read the story was beyond compare.

I'm still having the hangover.. 'Pallavi' is brilliant..the characters are like real flesh n blood..but want some brighter hues of life..it made me feel only the 'grey'..life is not all about gloom.
Thanks a lot for giving the chance 2 experience such instances..

I guess I was too carried away with “how about a sin tonight”, which I have given 3 stars to, but I will probably be taking some points out of it, due to the terrible book that this one is. In fact, how about was also just average, but some of the author’s ideas reflected some of mine, hence the “carried away” feeling.

I liked the love quote part or whatever it can be said.. I hate pallavi she z really f*#ked up am not a favourite of her character and truly not feeling for her f*#ked up life. on other hand swedha was left alone with all her love, it gives some soft corner for her. So, on the same day, I am done reading Novoneel Chakraborty's second novel- That Kiss in the Rain. This is a 204 pages novel which also has the tagline- 'Love is the weather of life'. This book is yet another book by Srishti Publication while Novoneel C is one of those writers who turned Bestseller with Srishti and later left it for Random House Publication at the time when his 3rd book was about to come in market. The book was moderately written. Somewhere the book crossed the line and became too lovey-dovey but thanks to the Pallavi's live-life-fullest character, it compensated every little other flaws. To say about the story, the entire story revolves around fate. When it is not in your fate, it is not your destiny. Simple.
The thing about Novoneel's writing is, his story is always in a fast phase. Before you could completely understand the character, the story ends. I want to give 2.5 stars to this book..more

No real premise or direction of the main story. It's not a life story nor a mystery, just tries to link all the characters together.

I just love novonee's writing. This book will hold ur interest till end. Loved Haasil's character. I just wanted the book to go on ana on and never end..

The style of writing is very poor and the story line is very predictable. Disappointing read.

With so much of clarifications in writing, this author, I feel has given his best. I could easily put myself in the author's shoes and I could understand that he wanted this novel to be perfectly written that is without any grammatical or editing errors. I'm in love with 'Novoneel'. He is an amazing author. I just love the way he writes. Best romance novelist in India I believe.
Its really sad what happened with Pallavi. She loved him so much and gave her 100% to the relationship but it didnt work out. And she had to go through a hard phase of life alone and in the end she was again alone which is pretty depressing. But then if there is no pain, it wouldn't have been a great love story.

Very intense, emotional drama. Love is written in all the pages. Hasil is the central character that drives the story, but the most adorable character is Pallavi. I love her because of the hope the character symbolizes. Though I feel that the ending was not perfectly done, who cares, the story is so so good. The final revelation about Hasil and Dino is superb. Having read 'The thing beyond Forever' and 'Ex' one would expect at least a story which is engrossing but 'That kiss in the rain ' fails miserably. I started reading this book with high expectations , the start of the story was interesting but soon it loses ground. I felt the story was dragged a bit too much.
This is story of Haasil , Pallavi and Swadha and the entangled love story between them. The plot is interesting but the story disappoints. Surely not one of the best of Novoneel Chakraborty..more

I rate the book 3.5 out of 5. From the starting it looked like the same old normal romantic love stories you read, certain times felt a story for a Bollywood movie, but as it progressed it showed the various shades of life. It showed what today's generation do when they experience adolescence or during their early 20s. The end was perfect and left me with a feeling, that no matter what life has to go on.
